The backgound is that the guy who was kidnapped by terrorist . He wrote this letter duing captivity.
Letter of Intent
Afghanistan is an heir to decades of backwardness, illiteracy, frozen scientific researches and academics demonstration, war, terror, homicide, human being humiliation and gender discrimination. In addition, it has experienced innovative thought recession, poor capacity building and feeble human resource along with lack of international solitary and lesser investment on education sector. This happened due to absence of any alternative measures towards improvement. Obviously, to alter such projects, eliminating these obstacles towards betterment and to pave the fragile path of development, establishment of stable educational system with academic standards are in dire need of knowledge to be transferred from developing countries to Afghanistan. Moreover, full investment on human resource and support of international universities by offering fully funded fellowships and scholarships are really going to support Afghans in their trials for development of their homeland.
After taking birth and being a part of cultural family I was fond and really enthusiastic about history, social communication and media related topics in secondary and higher school period. But all these coincided with conquer of extremist regime of Taliban and terror in Afghanistan which was actually overshadowing educational curriculum. Fortunately, this interruption was restored by my four years career in faculty of Journalism where I learned about communication and journalism, English language course and social investigation course with high level of records. During my studies at university I have written columns for some newspapers and I have also translated some topics. After finishing my lessons I have been recognized as qualified student for assisting Professors, that since some personal I could have cheered it yet. Following my career, I have hosted a magazine as Chief Editor and also as Trade Useful Ideas Service Provider for one year.
Currently, in addition to working as journalist in “The Salmati - health messenger magazine” and running my personal web log "nimad.blogfa.com", there are two projects pending on my hand, one of them is named as: "Why people chat on Spotperfect site" and second of them named as: "Third countries". So putting a glance on these experiences and attributions I plan to extend my studies by this fellow ship to act as pioneer in expediting and altering Afghan media studies. As Afghanistan is wobbling through revival and reconstruction, I am eager to share my experience taking part in its development and reconstruction. One of the ways which can help me in achieving my target is only depending upon my further education which aims at new and updated ideas. My special interest is "media studies" in respect of my vast ponder and its ample role in world changes.
Since I want to be as good and professional professor in my field, I need to elaborate my educational plan and get my MA degree to which will help me in reorganization of new and up to date theories. It is clear that to get higher and latest education in Afghanistan is impossible, unless it is done abroad in educationally stable countries as Canada.
Concerning my plans followed by MA graduate level I will get back to my country to lay down new and modern Afghan media study center and will join in one of the universities. Indeed, holding the degree which will let me to have thorough investigation through standardized documents, references and new initiatives in media studies which in turn will let me to harmonize internal findings as well. In case of getting the fellowship, I will use my opportunities to absorb the most required and prevalent academic and scientific findings. Furthermore, I will also work to improve linguistic (French and English) skills and study Canadian culture, attracting Canadian universities for more investment on Afghanistan media studies enrichment.
To sum up, Afghan universities thanks many past decades of war and destruction. It is now undergoing a crucial period of revival and they can not educate Afghan students with MA and higher degrees. So students are send to seek such degrees at international educational universities and institutes mostly in European countries (EC) and United States of America (USA) for new thoughts, orientations, modern and valued lifestyles and traditions to demonstrate on reconstruction of Afghanistan and up raise their own knowledge. I, as an Afghan student want to up grade my knowledge plus setting new and modern media studies center based upon accepted and common international standards. I will act as best envoy of Afghan people and values for Canadians. I plan to improve two nations relationship aiming for humanity and their welfare.
